The Gap Band, once made up of brothers Ronnie, Robert and the iconic “Uncle” Charlie Wilson, was the coolest R&B/Funk band of the '70s and '80s. The group retired in 2010, but now Ronnie Wilson wants to start it back up. He even booked dates at the legendary B.B. Kings in NYC and the Howard Theater in Washington, D.C. However Uncle Charlie is not standing for it. Once he got word of the shows, which stood to make the new Gap Band over $20K, he interfered and got both venues to pull the plug.
Now Ronnie is suing for damages and requesting that Charlie be stopped from intercepting anymore coins.
