What's in a name? Not much, at least in hip hop circles. Rap luminaries seem to change names as often as they change their socks (at least, we hope they change their socks). This past weekend, D12's Kon Artis announced that he was officially changing his name to Mr. Porter, which was already his beatmaking moniker. The Detroit rapper/producer, who's made beats for Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes, tweeted in April that his Kon Artis persona had "died," and that he was leaving D12 for good.
