Mary J. Blige My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act I)
Mary J. Blige's sophomore album My Life, holds a special place in the hearts of her fans. Recorded in the midst of battling depression, drug and alcohol addiction, and an abusive spouse, Mary put together this highly personal album that has yet to be paralleled by any other album in her career. Blige attempted to revisit the essence of that seminal album with last year's sequel My Life II… The Journey Continues, which she billed as a "continuation" of the first one. Great album, but unfortunately, every time we hear standout cut "Don't Mind" we just can't stop singing "cripsy chicken."
