Chairty Begins at Home

Chicago is currently one of the most violent cities in the nation, and Common is dedicated to doing everything he can to help change the future of his hometown. Earlier this month, he announced that he teamed up with Kanye West's Donda House, Che "Rhymefest" Smith and the Chicago Youth Jobs Collaborative to offer 1,000 jobs to Chi-town youth ages 16-24. The new initiative comes on the heels of an April 2014 report which revealed 92 percent of young black males in the city are jobless. The program is slated to launch this September.
