Stop the Presses: When Music Stars Clash With the Media
Talib Kweli and Don Lemon Face Off
The emotional aftermath of Michael Brown's death got the best of Talib Kweliand news anchor Don Lemon. The two had a very heated, somewhat hilarious "conversation" live on CNN about the police and media coverage of the protests. "I felt like it was up to me to be here and control the narrative because the media's done a horrible job of making sure the stories get out in the right way," Kweli said. Don stood up for his job, saying it's all about perspective and that it'd be impossible for Kweli to have seen everything on his own. There was some yelling. There was walking off. Laughter. And in the end, a handshake.
