Battle of the Sexes: Male vs. Female Rap Beefs

Kim and Weezy's aren't the only inter-gender 'bows thrown.

Battle of the Sexes: Male vs. Female Rap Beefs - Nicki Minaj's YMCMB boss, Lil Wayne, took a paint-ball shot at Lil Kim on his new mixtape, Dedication 5, spitting, "Changed the face of my Rolex/ Shout out to Lil' Kim." When the Queen Bee heard of it, she went right after his manhood via Twitter, "Bwahaha!!! That was real cute homegirl @Lil'Tutu. oops I mean @liltunechi !!! #HARDCOREMIXTAPE coming your way soon!!!" These are precious hits as far as hip hop goes, but we doubt they would've even splattered as colorfully had they not come from a man and a woman, respectively. Click on for other notable inter-gender battles.(Photos: John Ricard/BET , Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP, File)

Ransom v. Nicki Minaj - When Nicki Minaj heard that NJ rapper Ransom said that he had ghostwritten verses for her, she put no pause on publicly lambasting him as "wack" and "crazy," and reminding us that she's not a man, but "n----s got my d--k in they mouth." Ransom later said he was misinterpreted, called her "disrespectful" and then ... tweeted out a marriage proposal.(Photos from left: Twitter via @201Ransom, Kevin Winter/Getty Images for BET)

Azealia Banks vs. T.I. - ATL's T.I. and Harlem rookie Azealia Banks had a war of words over the latter's criticism of T.I.'s then signee Iggy Azalea. Banks had no bow downs for the Southern king's crown, tweeting, "I could beat T.I. in a rap battle," and "T.I. will forever be a joke to me."(Photos from left: Courtesy Interscope Records, Jeff Daly/PictureGroup)

Roxanne Shanté vs. UTFO - The first major rap beef between the sexes was the infamous "Roxanne War" of the mid-'80s. After UTFO had a hit in 1984 with "Roxanne, Roxanne," which addressed a woman who was frontin' on the group's advances, Roxanne Shanté debuted with "Roxanne's Revenge," a confrontational diss track in which the teenage phenom pretended she was the woman UTFO was talking about. UTFO responded with "The Real Roxanne" and then several other groups got in on the act, releasing their own Roxanne-themed tracks.(Photos from left: Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images, Courtesy RCA Records)

KRS-One vs. Roxanne Shanté - Years before 50 Cent emerged, an upstart KRS-One was starting beef with everyone and their mamas. As an early member of Juice Crew, Roxanne was caught up in the crossfire between KRS and her mentors MC Shan and Marley. Kris was taking no prisoners on his classic diss track "The Bridge Is Over," rapping, "Roxanne Shanté is only good for steady f--king."(Photos from left: Steve Eichner/WireImage, Jim Spellman/WireImage)

Lil Kim vs. Shyne - When Shyne debuted in the late '90s, he faced a lot of flack over his vocal similarities to the one and only B.I.G. — particularly from Lil Kim. Biggie's protégé and ex-lover criticized Shyne for "disrespecting" his legacy. Some rumors even speculated that Kim was behind a couple of violent run-ins Shyne had around the time. It seems it's all water under the bridge now — we hope.(Photos from left: Alfred Williams/PictureGroup, Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images)

Lil Cease vs. Lil Kim - Kim and Cease's rift isn't rap related, it's personal. Cease took the stand in her 2005 perjury trial, which resulted in her serving one year fed time. Kim has since said she felt betrayed by her old Junior M.A.F.I.A. homie and has reportedly rebuffed his attempts to reconcile.(Photos from left: Johnny Nunez/WireImage, John Ricard/BET)

LL Cool J vs. LeShaun - LL and the sultry-voiced LeShaun had a huge hit in 1996 with "Doin' It," (a remake of her own song, "Wild Thang"), but controversy stirred up when audiences realized she wasn't in the video and instead a bevy of video beauties were lip-syncing her contributions. LL explained that it was because LeShaun was pregnant at the time. Not everyone believed him. But maybe we should have. The pair have since collaborated several more times.(Photos from left:  Jeff Katz Photography/CBS Studios International, Courtesy Last FM)

Kreayshawn vs. Rick Ross - In the "WTF" category, we have this tiff between Rick Ross and Kreayshawn. The "Gucci Gucci" rapper called the Bawse "fake" in a freestyle and dissed his size and sexual prowess. The result was Ross threatening that he'd pay "50k to mess up your whole week." There was even some sort of confrontation backstage at the VMAs. The two later squashed it, with DJ Khaled reportedly playing peacemaker. He da best.(Photos from left: Anthony Harvey/Picturegroup, Mark Davis/PictureGroup)

Lil Mama vs. Jay Z - Though this isn't a fully roasted beef — Lil Mama was super-apologetic — Jay eventually admitted that he was "a little angry" about the "Lip Gloss" raptress crashing the end of his performance of "Empire State of Mind" with Alicia Keys at the Yankees Stadium for the 2009 VMAs, turning what would've been an iconic moment into an Internet meme for the ages. But, he said, "What am I gonna do? Fight Lil Mama? Have a tussle with her?"(Photos form left: Jason Merritt/Getty Images, aul Zimmerman/Getty Images)

Fat Joe vs. Remy Ma - Fat Joe and his former Terror Squad protégé Remy Ma had a falling out some time in the mid-2000s, reportedly due to disappointing sales of her releases. Later, when Remy was locked up following assault and weapons charges, she criticized Joe in press and radio interviews. Joe told XXL he "could never forgive" Remy for the verbal assault.(Photos from left: John Ricard/BET, Peter Kramer/Getty Images)
