2012 alumn Diggy and 2010 grad J. Cole had their war of words with a volley of rhymes that reportedly started after rumors of a romance between Cole and Diggy's sister, Vanessa Simmons, surfaced. It heated up when Cole seemingly dissed Diggy in a freestyle. Kendrick Lamar had invited him onstage during his Music Matters Tour set in North Carolina and he let loose. "Picture me hating on a young n---- with talent/Album flopped, but it's cool, he caked out on his allowance," Cole rapped. Diggy fired back with a track called "Fall Down." "I guess I rattled you, snaggletooth / You know better / Thought J stood for Jermaine, not Jet Setter / You seen me and shook my hand, coppin' pleas in person / Now you wack, less than a man, mention me in verses."
