Life After Death: The Legacy of the Notorious B.I.G.
Awards and Accolades
"You're nobody till somebody kills you," Big once rapped — eerily predictive given the praise his music has garnered since his death. Biggie nabbed three Grammy nods in 1998 for Life After Death (it's a crime he didn't win one), won a VMA in 1997 for "Hypnotize," and took Best Male R&B/Soul Album at the Soul Train Awards in 1998. Meanwhile, Ready to Die was ranked on both Time and Rolling Stone's best albums of all time lists, and XXL named Life After Death the best hip hop album ever.
