Tale of the Tape: Iggy Azalea vs. Azealia Banks
You knew this had to happen. Apparently there isn't room for two up-and-coming female MCs with similar names in the hip hop game. Or so says Azealia Banks, who's been lighting into Iggy Azalea after she was included on XXL magazine's annual Freshman cover. "How can you endorse a white woman who called herself a 'runaway slave master,'" Banks asked on Twitter last month, referring to a line Iggy spits on "Drugz" ("When the relay starts/I'm a runaway slave/Master"). Iggy hasn't responded to Banks directly—beyond tweeting, "Two ppl have to care for beef to happen." But T.I., who recently announced that Iggy was joining his Grand Hustle crew, recently defended Iggy and threw a few sly shots at Banks.
