Oooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip!
Originally forming their group name from the first letter of each of the original group members' names — Tionne, Lisa, Crystal — the trio ended up replacing Crystal with Rozonda Thomas, whom they named Chilli to keep with the spelling. Tionne nicknamed herself T-Boz and Lisa became "Left Eye." Their 1992 debut album Oooooooohhhh… on the TLC Tip! sold more than four million copies thanks to strong singles like "Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg," "What About Your Friends" and "Baby-Baby-Baby."
