Name-Changers: Retitled Albums - What's in a name? Game recently announced that he'd renamed his upcoming fifth studio album, from F.I.V.E (Fear Is Victory's Evolution) to Jesus Piece, inspired by his recent baptism and a desire to differentiate himself from albums by 50 Cent and Trey Songz that have five in their titles. But he isn't the first artist to play the name game. Click on to see other musicians who retitled their albums. —Alex Gale (Photo: Robert Wallace/ WENN.com)

Ne-Yo - Maybe Game took inspiration from Ne-Yo, who for some reason changed the name of his forthcoming album from The Cracks in Mr. Perfect to The R.E.D. Album — also the name of Game's last LP.   (Photo: John Ricard / BET)

Jadakiss - Jadakiss decided not to kiss record sales good-bye when he released his 2009 album, The Last Kiss. The LP was originally titled Kiss My A--. "I had to change the name of my album because Kiss My A-- wasn’t testing well at retail," he admitted at the time. Hmm, we wonder why.  (Photo: Jeffrey Ufberg/Getty Images)

Nas - Nas' untitled ninth studio album, released in 2008, was originally named after the N-word, which caused a firestorm of controversy. Al Sharpton, Bill O'Reilly, Oprah, Reverend Jesse Jackson and the NAACP all criticized the title; meanwhile a N.Y. assemblyman requested that the state withdraw $84 million from its pension fund that had been invested into Nas' label, Universal, and its parent company, Vivendi, if the album's title wasn't changed. 50 Cent - Back in 2005, after his sophomore album — which was supposed to be released on February 15 — was delayed to March, 50 Cent cut down its title from The St. Valentine's Day Massacre to The Massacre. In 2007, he shortened another album name to Curtis, from Curtis S.S.K., which stood for either SoundScan Killer, Southside King or Shoot, Stab, Kill. He should've used these much more appropriate initials instead: SMH. (Photo: Christopher Polk/Getty Images for Coachella)
