22. Tony Touch

New York's Tony Toca was an undisputed mixtape king in the '90s; his legendary 50 MCs series, featuring heavyweights from Big Pun to Mos Def spitting over instrumentals, elevated the art of mixtape freestyles to new heights. Tony eventually parlayed his mixtape fame into several major-label releases—one of the first DJs to do so — including 2000's The Piece Maker.
