Music Stars Who Should Be in the Next Star Wars

What if your favorite rappers starred in this classic film?

Music Stars Who Should Be in the Next Star Wars - Stars Wars back. On Tuesday (Oct. 30), Disney announced that it had purchased Lucasfilms, the company of legendary Star Wars director George Lucas, and that it would be making three more Star Wars films. A lot of diehards are worried that Disney will further tarnish the franchise, but we have a great suggestion for Mickey Mouse and friends to keep things on track—hire rappers instead of actors. Some rappers make great actors (see DMX, Will Smith), and the ones that don't fail in hilarious fashion (Nas). Either way, we'll be entertained, hip hop fans will be sure to turn out, and Stars Wars will get a lot of publicity. We even took the liberty of mapping it all out. Click on to check out BET.com's take on a hip-hop-heavy Star Wars. (Photo: Lucas Film)

Lauryn Hill as Princess Leia - Lauryn Hill was once hip hop's reigning princess. Now she's more like what Princess Leia might be like in the upcoming Disney-produced sequels: a few years older, a few kids later and hurting a bit after Hans left her for a hot young thing from the ice planet of Hoth. But nonetheless, Lauryn, like Leia, is still rap's reigning Queen fight the good fight. Bow down. (Photos from left: Courtesy Jen Diaz/Hot 97, lucas film)
