Jay-Z vs. Oasis
Noel Gallagher, guitarist of British rock band Oasis, didn't bite his tongue when he heard Jay-Z was booked to headline his country's iconic Glastonbury festival. "I'm sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance," he told BBC News. "Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music...I'm not having hip hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong." Jay-Z responded diplomatically in an interview with The Sun: "We don’t play guitars, Noel, but hip hop has put in its work like any other form of music...We have to respect each other’s genre of music and move forward."
