Sidestepping the authorities may be something rap and rock has in common, but what happens when the authorities are us? Josh Homme, frontman for Queens of the Stone Age, got upset by Jay Z's tight security measures for his 2013 Made in America Festival and refused to perform if his band got a bag check. "That guy's a kook," Homme said in an interview later. "He has his security frisking the bands on the way in. No one's ever done that. You shouldn't frisk my guys, you should f--k off."
By the end, however, it worked out and the band did perform. This is far from the first time Jay's clashed with rockers. Click on to see other examples of when rappers and rockers engage in some cross-genre beef.
