Mentored by Tupac
The singer entered the music industry at the tender age of 12, recording with MC Hammer. She later met Tupac and the two formed a friendship. Pac promised to help Keyshia launch her career and offered her the opportunity to write a hook on one of his upcoming projects. Of course, the project never got done, as he died tragically in 1996.
