Confessions of a Video Vixen by Karrine Steffans

This memoir caused a major stir — and practically birthed the genre of hip hop tell-alls — when it dropped in 2005. In the book, former video model Karrine Steffans, nicknamed "Superhead" in numerous rap songs, detailed her alleged domestic abuse at the hands of Kool G Rap, as well as sexual relations with Jay Z, Ja Rule, DMX, Bobby Brown and others. She later said much of the book had been "fabricated." (Photo: Amistad Publishing)
