Rant No More - Kanye West went all the way vocal this year as he discovered more and more that his status as a lauded hip hop star holds no weight in the fashion world. But, the "rants" put a strain on his music fans; and the fashion world was already not listening, so, 'Ye offered one final rant for the year, this time including a resolution to stop "talking s--t" in 2014. We support his decision.(Photo: Felipe Ramales, PacificCoastNews.com)

The Crossover Twerk - It all started harmlessly on stage at a Juicy J show, Miley Cyrus  was caught twerking and so began her 24/7 indecent exposure campaign. Ultimately, it was her startling performance at the MTV's VMAs that nearly broke the Internet and made her one of the most talked about artists of 2013. All said, it was entertaining but we're ready to get off this wild ride.(Photo: Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images for MTV)

Turn Down - 2 Chainz helped the "turn up" turn way up with his 2012 song aptly titled, "Turn Up" (even Beyoncé got "Turnt"), but now that we've given that term a good year of burn, it's time to turn all the way down.(Photo: Def Jam)

Maino vs. Trinidad James - Hardcore Brooklyn rhyme slinger Maino brought the thunder to Trinidad James via Twitter after the Atlanta-bred rapper seemingly dissed NY hip hop music — while in New York City — sparking yet another rift between Northern and Southern rap stars. The State of New York Rap Debate - The debate about New York's rap scene, or lack thereof, gained heat this year due to Kendrick Lamar's lyrical proclamation that he was the king of New York on "Control." Then Trinidad James' observations about local radio only fanned the flames, but all the talk needs to stop and the music needs to speak for itself in 2014.(Photos from left: John Ricard / BET, Prince Williams/FilmMagic)

Control Yourself - Say something before the year runs out, or forever hold your peace on this one. No more responses to Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse in 2014. Lamar eviscerated what you thought hip hop was about in 2013, and brought that old thing back. Catch up.(Photo: Chelsea Lauren/Getty Images for BET)

Chief Keef - For such a young dude, Chief Keef has faced a number of legal issues. From weed charges to failing to pay child support to speeding, Keef is no stranger to the mug shot camera. (Photo: Courtesy DEKALB COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE)

Love Being Sober - More birthdays, more problems. Chief Keef is a legal adult now, and he spent a significant portion of this year in and out of court rooms, jail cells and rehab. Meanwhile, the Chicago music scene continued to bubble around him. Cheers to getting focused for the new year. (Photo: Courtesy DEKALB COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE)

Attempting a Beyoncé - It's already happening: the artists who promise to "Beyoncé" the game in the new year. But before you fix your mouth to say such a thing, consider this: there is only one Beyoncé, and even she was surprised she pulled it off.(Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage for Parkwood Entertainment)

Chris Brown's Legal Woes - Fans have been waiting for Chris Brown to drop X all year, but instead of a firm release date, there was only a bunch of legal drama as C. Breezy got into it with his neighbors, a driver, a photobomber, Drake and Frank Ocean. Next year, how about just some more music, please?(Photo: Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images)

K. Michelle (@kmichelle) vs. Tamar Braxton (@TamarBraxtonHer) - The war between these two has been one of the richest sources of entertainment for the latter half of this year, and it all began with a blonde wig. Once Tamar accused K. Michelle of stealing her look, it's been "muppet" town versus "K-Mart" city, round after round after round ... after more rounds. And despite two attempts to silence the put-downs on K's end, it doesn’t look like these two will be friends anytime soon.   (Photos: Cindy Ord/BET/Getty Images for BET; Bennett Raglin/BET/Getty Images for BET)

R & Tweefs - The tweef between Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle gave us a lot of juice (like when Tamar called K. "Kmart" and K. Michelle said Kermit snatched Tamar's wig), and it went on all year long, right up through the Soul Train Awards, when K. Michelle tried to bury the beef via social media. Tamar wasn't having no love in this war, though, so we'll have to call off the troops ourselves. No more of this in 2014, OK, ladies?(Photos from left: Cindy Ord/BET/Getty Images for BET, Bennett Raglin/BET/Getty Images for BET)

Molly Rap - Also, no more slipping molly in champagne, popping mollies and sweating, or moonshine and molly in 2014. There's been enough lyrical references to the dangerous drug in recent years.(Photo: FotografiaBasica / Getty Images)
