16. "Holy Grail," Jay Z feat. Justin Timberlake

Jay Z wrote new rules for himself and others this year when he shifted hip hop culture with a record-breaking deal to charter the Magna Carta Holy Grail. The album's first visual, "Holy Grail," lived up to the hype, garnering "politics as usual" reactions like mixed reviews from critics and a thumbs up from fans. (It was the first video ever to debut on Facebook from an artist of Jay's caliber.) The song itself features a Timbaland beat, Justin Timberlake vocals and a sample from Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit."
