"Rich Is Gangsta" - Over some smooth Black Metaphor production, Ricky flosses his wealth and takes a small shot at rival 50 Cent ("From now on I need 50...I ain't talkin' 50 Cent, neither").(Photo: Charles Eshelman/FilmMagic/Getty Images)

Rick Ross, Mastermind - A couple of pushbacks on the in-store date has the streets eager for The Bawse's next release. He's been suiting up for it since early last year with "Box Chevy," the album's first promo single, "No Games" and the most recent, "Devil Is a Lie," which came just before Christmas and features none other than the Hov MC, Jay Z.(Photo: Charles Eshelman/FilmMagic)

Pusha T, King Push - After releasing his solo debut, My Name Is My Name, under the guide of Kanye West, Pusha T is set to reunite with the Neptunes on the follow-up. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper has already made good on his promise to hit the studio with the production duo that introduced the Clipse to hip hop world. Now we're going wait to see what this combination of talent can offer on Pasha solo effort. (Photo by Karl Walter/Getty Images for Coachella)

Mariah Carey, The Art of Letting Go - It's been a few years since we've heard an album from Mariah Carey, and she hasn't lost her touch — or her voice. She introduced her fourteenth album, The Art of Letting Go, with an array of versions of her song "#Beautiful" (one featuring Miguel, one adding Jeezy and one in spanish), and capped it off with a performance at Hot 97's Summer Jam XX. Seems like "Honey" era MC is back!(Photo: Ouzounova/Splash News)

ScHoolboy Q, Oxymoron - TDE became a household acronym in 2013 in part because of ScHoolBoy Q's laid back, but in-yo'-face flow. For 2014, between his "Collard Greens" release and the endearing way he's put his daughter to work to help him promote the album, Oxymoron is easily one of the most aniticipated debuts since, well, that other Top Dawg album.(Photo: Mike Coppola/Getty Images for Clear Channel)

Future, Honest - Future has that Kanye-like creative genius, where he can make a whole song called "Honest" while crooning on the track with Auto-Tuned vocals. That kind of irony makes us only more curious about what the Freebandz CEO has to say on a full-length LP of the same name.(Photo: Rick Diamond/BET/Getty Images for BET)

Lil Wayne, Devol - When Lil Wayne was locked up, he wrote a bunch of love songs. But they're not typical love songs, they're Lil Tunechi love songs. He's going to give them to us via an album called Devol, which is "Loved" spelled backwards. Or, as he said, "It's not what y'all expecting."(Photo: Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

Do Not Duplicate: Albums That Shouldn't Have Sequels - Over the weekend, Nas admitted in an interview that he's considered working on and releasing an Illmatic 2. "Yes and no; I've thought about it before," the MC told Vibe about the possibility. "I definitely thought about that. It just has to flow, it has to be natural. I can work on that and if I don't like it [just scrap it]. I have to feel it. It got to to be honest." But honestly, most would likely agree that any Illmatic sequel wouldn't be natural — it's in a rarefied class as is. But it's not the only classic hip hop album that should be left alone. Read on for more examples of sequels we hope to never see. (Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

Nicki Minaj, TBD - Nicki Minaj has given us all sorts of characters in rhyme (Roman, Rosa, Martha...), so there's no telling who will show up to man her next LP (that's part of the fun), especially since she's now a Hollywood actress with a credit in her first big screen film, The Other Woman, which also releases this year.(Photo: Mike Coppola/Getty Images for Clear Channel)

Kanye West, TBD - In 2013, Kanye West managed to take the No. 1 spot with 10 tracks, distorted sounds and no cover art. Now for his next feat, he's planning to release only eight songs. "It's just reducing down the amount of information that you need," he said. Will this be the Yeezus Part 2 the Rick Rubin hinted at or is 'Ye going someplace else?(Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage)

After taking the year off to experience motherhood, word on the curb is that mega star vocalist is gearing up for one of the year's biggest releases. (Photo by Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images)

Chris Brown, X - Chris Brown tried really hard to get his tenth album, X, to the fans last year, but lots of legal drama got in the way. So, instead, C. Breezy has been releasing singles, giving away free music and threatening to retire. If this ever comes out, we may cop it just 'cause.(Photo: Tom Briglia/FilmMagic)

T.I., Paperwork: The Motion Picture - T.I.'s got a new deal for his Grand Hustle with the house that Nas and Beyoncé helped build (Columbia) and he's got a new album to go along with it: Paperwork: The Motion Picture (formerly known as Trouble Man II). We can only imagine what the southern king has to say after all the drama he went through last year, the sudden death of one of his Grand Hustle signees, Doe B, and a successful year for another, B.o.B.(Photo: Kevin C.
