Tweet Sheet: Kanye West Talks 10-Year Anniversary of The College Dropout

Kanye West is having another Twitter moment, but this time there's no smell of beef in the air. Instead, 'Ye is celebrating 10 years of The College Dropout, which released in-stores Feb. 10, 2004. The album, in part channeled through the frustration 'Ye was feeling over having his jaw wired shut (listen to "Through the Wire"), is acclaimed as one of the most significant and successful rap debuts. Handling the production entirely himself an extremely rare feat for an artist in any genre West bucked against the imagery that was mainstream rap at the time, using lush orchestration and lyrical examinations of consumerism "(i.e., "All Fall Downs"), religion (i.e., "Jesus Walks"), and institutional prejudices (i.e. "Spaceship"), for example. Read on to see what he has to say for himself.
