June 7 marked the 20th anniversary of the release of Warren G's monumental album Regulate... G-Funk Era. Playing a huge part in the West Coast's dominance of the game at the time, the album included hits like "Regulate," "Do You See" and "This DJ."
Russell Simmons and Lyor Cohen have also stated publicly that this album saved a fledgling Def Jam Records and reignited their rise to the top once again. The G-Child is also a non-credited part of Dr. Dre reaching his billionaire status as it was Warren who passed off 213's demo featuring Snoop to his step-brother Dr. Dre, and the rest is now history.
