"Purple Rain," Prince

The 1984 rock anthem "Purple Rain" conjures up many things. The final scene of the film of the same name, Prince's blistering guitar solo and of course his soulful, emotion-filled vocals. The single, a rock, pop, gospel, orchestral music hybrid is now so synonymous with the iconic performer, it's a song he alone can truly call his own.
