Everything Beyoncé - Even though her record-breaking latest album was released last year, Beyoncé still managed to rule 2014 like a boss. When she was not dominating the music charts and annihilating stages across the world on her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour and the On the Run Tour with her hubby Jay Z, she was apparently having fun with her girlfriends in her hotel room crafting her next surprise. Her latest shocker came in the form of her trap-inspired catchy cut "7/11" from her re-release, Beyoncé: Platinum Edition.Even though the year is wrapping up, we have a feeling that Queen Bey isn't quite done yet.(Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage for Parkwood Entertainment)

The world first got a hint at their budding romance when they were peeped holding hands backstage at the 2014 VMAs, and now, they're out and proud with their love. Girl Power at Its Best - Speaking of Ariana Grande, she's had one hell of a year, thanks largely in part to English singer Jessie J and femcee Nicki Minaj. Their girl power smash "Bang Bang" was arguably the song of the summer, making it practically inescapable anywhere you went. Also, Nicki's wardrobe malfunction during their first performance of the song at the VMAs helped make it that much more memorable.(Photo: Michael Buckner/Getty Images)

J.Lo and Iggy Get Bootylicious - It's safe to say that 2014 has been the year of the booty, and Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea wanted to make that crystal clear in their music video for "Booty." Released back in September, the racy music video received mixed reviews, but definitely managed to get the world talking. Also, to date, it's garnered more than 76 million views. We say that's a victory in itself.(Photo: Capitol Records)

Remy Ma Is a Free Woman - Bronx rapper Remy Ma was finally released from prison at the top of August after spending more than six years behind bars. The female hip hop scene seemed to be missing a piece while she was away, but now that she's back, we're just happy to have the list of women in hip hop getting just a bit longer. Following her release, Remy wasted no time getting her face out there, appearing everywhere from HOT97 to 106 & Park. Welcome back, Remy!(Photo: Paul Hawthorne/Getty Images)

Bobby Shmurda's Shmoney Dance Craze - We can't mention moments we're most thankful for without including the most popular dance of the year: the Shmoney Dance. Brought to fame and created by "Hot N***a" rapper Bobby Shmurda, the dance immediately became a movement following the premiere of the song's music video in August. So, this Thanksgiving, we challenge you to count how many times you break out into this dance after hearing the now iconic words "...about a week ago!"(Photo: Brad Barket/BET/Getty Images)

Reunited and It Feels So Strange...Then Good - Fans of hip hop duo OutKast have been yearning for a comeback for years now, and once they finally got their wish, the result was not the most pleasing. The pair performed their first joint set in years at Coachella to overwhelmingly negative reviews, but, thankfully, they weren't at fault. André 3000 and Big Boi redeemed themselves at the 2014 BET Experience, where they served as headliners, among many more stops on on a surprise, worldwide 20th anniversary tour.
