Death to 360 Deals - Azealia finally was released from her contract with Interscope this year and proceeded to release her debut Broke With Expensive Taste independently in November. She explained the split stating that the label wasn’t too pleased with her releasing free music because she wasn’t signed to a 360 deal and they couldn’t make any money off her shows. She stated, “The album cost $2 million to make. ... I guess it got to a point where they had spent so much money on the record, they felt like, ‘We don’t feel like we have anything that will cross into the Top 40.’ The deal that I had wasn’t a 360, so I was keeping all my money off touring. So I was just like eff this. I wanna do cool music, I wanna perform and I wanna enjoy myself. I don’t wanna do anything that I think is wack. It was a bunch of creative differences."(Photo: Azealia Banks/Prospect Park Records)

Sisterly Love - Despite the media pitting them against each other at times, Azealia has a lot of respect for Nicki Minaj and said that she’d cop The Pinkprint. When asked about why they haven’t collaborated yet, she stated, “When I first came out people were saying, ‘You’re going to be the new Nicki Minaj,’ and I would always say Nicki Minaj isn’t even the new Nicki Minaj. She just got here so people were pitting us against each other.’ In interviews, I would say, ‘I don’t understand why she wants to make pop music when she’s a dope rapper already [and the media] would spin it into other things…”She also likes how her fellow NY MC plays the game adding, “I love her because she’s doing exactly what y'all white b*****s are doing here. I’m gone put this f*****g pink wig on and act stupid and show y’all b*****s how stupid y’all look… and give me my check and good night. And then she g...

Azealia the Scribe  - Azealia Banks definitely has a voice when it comes to fighting for Black issues and causes but her music isn’t the platform for those topics. Revealing that she's working on a book also, she stated, “I’ll give it to them in speeches and essays and this fable that I’ve been writing but not the music. I’ve been working on this fable for a long time and I’m a real author.”Currently only available on “Apple Pages” on her laptop, based on the subject matter, this should make a great read when it’s published.(Photo: Donato Sardella/WireImage)

Style Wars - The New York MC caught the attention of Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld back in 2012 when she performed at his party. She admitted that she didn’t even know who he was as fashion wasn’t high on her radar and she was just going to get a check at the time. She learned quickly though, explaining, “When you’re from an artsy family like mine… My mother would take a thousand dollars and buy a couch before she bought a purse so my values were always put into different things. So once I got a name, I didn’t know that these [fashion] companies were making this much money and that it was this big”The fashion world now loves Azealia's style but she still doesn’t take it that serious, describing her look as, “…That’s just New York City art school girl style, like Urban Outfitters and thrift shop booths.” (Photos from left: Lionel Urman/Splash News, PA PHOTOS /LANDOV)

Azealia Banks Drops Debut Album... Beyoncé Style - New York rapper Azealia Banks has become known so much for stirring up trouble over the past few years that many began to disassociate her with her incredible musical talent. Well, she reminded everyone just why she's worth the wait after unexpectedly dropping her debut — and repeatedly delayed — album Broke With Expensive Taste. The Come Up - There’s no doubt that Azealia Banks has her own sound and it was crafted from a few elements. She explained her vibe and come-up saying, “In terms of my musical background, my mom listens to a lot of jazz… a lot of avant garde jazz stuff, so I like Rachelle Ferrell… and Whitney Houston and stuff like that. Then when I was 10, I started doing City Theatre and musical theatre and a bunch of off Broadway productions and stuff.”From there she started spitting in high school and her boyfriend at the time gave her the name Ms. Banks. After making a few songs recorded in her friend’s closet, she put them on the Internet and, “Then started stalking people and finally Diplo paid attention and that’s when it was [on].”  (Photo: Christie Goodwin/Redferns via Getty Images)

Deeper Than Rap - Azealia Banks made it clear that she doesn’t troll Iggy Azealia and that her gripes are way bigger than the Australian MC. Going deep, she explained, “In this country when it comes Black issues, Black politics or Black music, there’s always this undercurrent of a ‘f**k you.’ There’s always a 'f**k y’all n****s. Y'all don’t really own s**t.' That Macklemore album wasn’t better than the Drake record..."She continued, "The Grammys are supposed to be accolades for artistic excellence. Iggy Azalea is not excellent… I have a problem when you’re trying to say that it’s hip hop, and you’re trying to put it up against Black culture… put her next to Katy Perry in the pop category. Put her in a box with Miley Cyrus. It’s a cultural smudging. When they give these Grammys out all it says to White kids is, ’You’re great. You’re amazing. You can do whatever you put you...

Azealia Banks Randomly Attacks T.I.'s Family - After tweeting a series of insolent posts, including one about T.I.'s wife Tiny having a "meth face," harshly outspoken rapper Azealia Banks felt the wrath of T-I-P. He threatened to "chew her throat off" and ultimately "end" her if she ever disrespected his family again. Banks eventually deleted all of the T.I.-related posts on her account.Tweet: "U want no mediocre...Have you seen your wife?"(Photos from Left: Paras Griffin /Landov, PBI/WENN.com)

Check Mate - Azealia Banks also had some choice words for the King of the South playing savior for Iggy Azealia. She took the gloves off and pulled out a knife with a few slicing words.“Here you have coon-head a** T.I. T.I. you’re out here trying to promote this white b***h…You got your priorities f****d up. That’s really how I f*****g feel about you. You’re a f*****g shoe shining coon. How dare you?… The fact that you’re focused on what the f**k I have to say about this b***h saying that she’s a runaway slave master and that’s really what you’re attacking me for. You have no other reason to come at me, besides from the fact I said something about her calling herself a runaway slave master and the b***h did the whip motion so comfortably in the video and y’all sweep that s**t right under the rug.”(Photos from Left: Paras Griffin /Landov, PBI/WENN.com)

Black Girls Rock - Azealia Banks will ride or die for the African diaspora and refuses to let Black history to continue to be white washed. “They’re trying to erase us. They’re trying to erase all of our books and scripture. Everything that we’re supposed to know about ourselves is gone. Completely f*****g gone. Never to be seen again… It’s really upsetting when you read your social studies textbook and all you see is stories of you under some white person’s foot or you failing…  Or even the fact that they’re still making movies like 12 Years a Slave. I don’t want to see no more s**t like that where white people beating Black people because my Black story is deeper than just the boat ride over.” (Photo: Kate Dwek / Splash News)
