MCs Who've Invaded the White House

Rappers that got invited to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Killer Mike - Killer Kill is invading the Obamas and will be a guest of the Huffington Post on Saturday at the White House’s Correspondents Dinner. Ciara and Gladys Knight will also be guests as the media and some of Capitol Hill’s elite trade jokes over dinner, which will include a speech from President Obama himself. As Killer Mike prepares to make his present felt at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, check out a few more mic rippers who’ve been granted presidential pardons and kicked it at the White House. —Michael Harris (@IceBlueVA)(Photos from Left: Alli Harvey/Getty Images for Spotify, Kristoffer Tripplaar-Pool/Getty Images)

Diddy - Diddy proclaimed that he won't stop and that went for bombarding the White House, too. Back in 2004, he was in D.C. introducing the late, great Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, who were honorees at the the 27h Annual Kennedy Center Honors. But that wasn't enough for the Bad Boy, who wanted a tour of the White House while he was in town and the Bush's gave the mogul his own personal walk through. (Photo: Rebecca Sapp/WireImage for Citizen Change )

Common - First Lady Michelle Obama invited the Chi-town MC out to "An Evening of Poetry" at the White House in May 2011. The Obamas received some hate for selecting their homeboy as critics brought up an old slam from HBO's Def Poetry in 2007, where Common put George Bush on blast.Standing firm by their decision, the White issued a statement that read, "While the president doesn't support the kind of lyrics that have been raised here, some of these reports distort what Mr. Lynn [Common] stands for more broadly. One of the things the president appreciates is the work Mr. Lynn has done with children, especially trying to get them to focus on poetry as opposed to some of the negative influences of life on the streets." (Photo: Christy Bowe/Corbis)
