Posted Aug. 1, 2007 -  When comes to "The View," ABC has one things to say -- Whoopi!  The network annouced Wednesday afternoon that Whoopi Goldberg will be joining the hit daytime show.

Goldberg, known for her liberal politics and matter-of-fact comedy, replaces Rosie O'Donnell, who ended her controversial -- but ratings-boosting -- tenure in May.

I love this show," Goldberg said upon joining the panel on Wednesday's show. "I love coming on it. I love hanging out with you guys.

Rumor has it that another sista, actress and stand-up comedian Sherri Shepherd, could also be joining the cast as well.
