Posted July 30, 2007 - Last Wednesday, Oscar-nominated actor and comedian Eddie Murphy proposed to Tracey Edmonds. Presenting her with a yellow diamond engagement ring, Murphy asked for her hand in marriage. He’s been dating Edmonds, the ex-wife of R&B singer Babyface for the past year.

According to Edmonds personal assistant, “"Tracey and Eddie are both very much in love and are excited about spending the rest of their lives together.

Most recently, Murphy has made headlines in an ongoing paternity  battle over a child with his ex-lover Melanie Brown. Edmonds, a film executive at Our Stories Films, began dating Murphy right after he split with Brown. The marriage will be the second for both Edmonds and Murphy.
