Entertainment News: Short Cuts: Steffans' Word on Shaq's Divorce

Posted Sept. 7, 2007 -- Celebrity bed buddy and tell-all author Karrine Steffans is reflecting on her alleged relationship with Shaquille O'Neal, now that the NBA star has announced his divorce from wife Shaunie.

As previously reported, Shaq's divorce petition accuses Shaunie of being "secretive about her assets ... particularly with respect to certain properties owned or titled in either [her] name alone or in other entities" and requests that the court require her to give a "correct accounting of all money, funds, stocks, bonds, and other securities (including bearer securities)" acquired during the marriage.

The former video vixen recalls money not being an issue at all during her four-month affair with the athlete.

On the first date, he gave me $10,000," Steffans told the NY Daily News Wednesday. "Over four months, [he spent] more than $40,000 on me, as far as I can remember.

In her first book "Confessions of a Video Vixen," Steffans writes explicit details of her time spent with Shaq, who she began dating shortly after he became engaged to Shaunie. Strangely enough, Steffans ran into Shaunie at the ESPY awards in July.  "We both had the same hairstyle and everything," she said.
