Naomi Leaves Brazilian Hospital
After a "cyst" removal a week ago, supermodel Naomi Campbell has left Sirio Libanes hospital in Sao Paulo. The 37-year-old was whisked away in a helicopter on Friday.
I would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes and concern over the past week and for the fantastic service I have received at the hospital," Campbell told People magazine Friday through her rep.
Gynecologist Jose Aristodemo Pinotti performed the abdominal surgery on Campbell, describing the procedure as a laparoscopy, in which doctors use a thin, lighted scope to view internal organs.
The model also disputed reports that she was hosting a party, saying, "I take my health very seriously, so to suggest that I would host a party following an operation is ludicrous."
