Gangsta rap pioneer turned TV and film power player Ice Cube is in talks to join the growing cast—Josh Duhamel and Ryan Seacrest are also negotiating—of the film New Year’s Eve.
If Cube seals the deal, he will join Hally Berry, Robert DeNiro, Ashton Kutcher and a host of others on the project, which begins shooting in February.
The film tells the interconnected story of a group of New Yorkers getting through a maze of melodrama and romance during one New Year’s Eve.
The Are We There Yet? producer would play a NYPD cop working with the director in charge of Times Square’s annual holiday festivities.
Cube will also star in the upcoming film Rampart.
