Disney Channel’s golden girl of That’s So Raven strikes again. ABC Family has picked up the pilot for the show The Great State of Georgia, starring Raven-Symoné.

The half-hour comedy—based on a 2010 movie of the same name—will feature the famed former Cosby kid as “an aspiring actress with a larger-than-life personality” who moves to New York City with her geeky BFF (Majandra Delfino) to try and make it as a thespian.

Sounds like a page straight from the life of this Atlanta native. And if the show’s fate is as lucky as this actress and TV power player, The Great State of Georgia may be a hit. Which ever way it goes, Raven-Symoné once again keeps it moving.
