But will Breezy also show his comedic side?

Chris Brown

Chris Brown has often shown a knack for the ironic, especially when it comes to love, so it's appropriate that he's scheduled to be the musical guest for Saturday Night Live on Feb. 12, two days before Valentine’s Day.

Brown, who recently finished a domestic violence counseling program, will be performing to promote his fourth LP, F.A.M.E., scheduled for release on March 22.

The guest spot on the comedy institution will be a major coup for Breezy given his struggles to mend his image and record career. Following his guilty plea for assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna, Brown found his music banned by some radio stations and his third album, Graffiti, tanking.

SNL has proven a boon to faltering politicians looking to poke fun at their own shortcomings (think Sarah Palin) or celebrities confronting bad PR (think Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg). So if he joins in the show’s comedy skits, this SNL appearance could be a magic bullet, helping the the R&B golden boy get back on track as well.
