Jennifer Lopez won’t be the only TV regular in her household. Her hubby, salsa king Marc Anthony, is becoming a cast member of the TNT series Hawthorne.

The Grammy-winning singer will play police Detective Nick Renata. Anthony appeared as the character in two episodes last season. While investigating a pair of criminal cases involving the hospital, his character developed a strong bond with Jada Pinkett Smith’s character, Christina Hawthorne, chief nursing officer of James River Hospital.

The medical series returns for its third season in June.

Anthony's other acting credits include Martin Scorsese's Bringing Out the Dead, Tony Scott’s Man on Fire and Leon Ichaso’s biopic El Cantante.
