It appears that NeNe Leakes tried to one up Donald Trump on his own show—and failed miserably in the process.

Pop Eater reports that NeNe tried to quit Celebrity Apprentice in order to avoid facing Trump’s trademark phrase, “You’re fired!”

A source close to the show accuses NeNe of being more about her own stardom than the charity the cast mates are competing for.

The insider said, "The fact that she mentioned the organization for the first and only time last week proves NeNe was only in the game to help NeNe."

NeNe’s charity is Women Against Domestic Abuse. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has repeatedly mentioned she was a victim of domestic violence on her Bravo show.

However, NeNe doesn’t seem to be playing the game for her charity fairly.

An unidentified contestant said: "Nothing about this show is staged or rigged to result in a desired outcome. Everyone has an equal chance of winning or getting fired. NeNe thought she was so special that she was an exception and that by threatening to quit, Donald would beg her to stay and fire someone else. She was wrong."
