Glee Goes Gaga

Glee will air a special 90-minute episode inspired by Lady Gaga’s music.

FOX hit Glee is known for embracing diversity with a cast filled with different races, openly gay characters and a wheel-chair bound singer. In the spirit of self-acceptance, the series is planning an extra long hour-and-a-half special centered around Lady Gaga hits in which Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) “teaches the glee club a valuable lesson about-self acceptance and embracing what makes you unique through the music of Lady Gaga,” according to a FOX press release.

The pop singer is an outspoken supporter of gay rights and in the episode the characters will perform her current hit “Born This Way” (in some of Gaga's over-the-top costumes, of course!).

In between the tunes, the episode will find Lauren Zizes (guest star Ashley Fink) and Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron) competing for a prom queen crown, Ms. Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) confronting her obsessive issues, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) struggling with a life-changing decision and Santana Lopez (Naya Rivera) with something up her sleeve that could change the glee club dynamic altogether.

Glee returns from hiatus on April 19. The show airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
