Miami Dolphins Brandon Marshall Stabbed, Wife Arrested
Brandon Marshall, Miami Dolphins wide receiver, was stabbed April 22 and is in intensive care at a Florida hospital after an incident with his wife.
The athlete's injuries aren't "life-threatening" according to NFL.com, and he may be released from the hospital as early as this afternoon. Still, Marshall will need 2-3 weeks to recover from his injuries.
Few details have arisen as to exactly what happened between Marshall and his wife and the couple's lawyer has asked the public to respect the Marshall's "privacy."
This incident is not the only scuffle allegedly involving Marshall and his wife. The wide receiver was arrested in March 2009 in Atlanta after police reported he was involved in a fight with then-fiancee Michi Leshase Nagomi-Campbell.
Police said they were called to Marshall's home when he and Nagomi-Campbell began arguing. The fight escalated, even as police were present, and the couple began brawling on the sidewalk, according to a police report. Neither required medical attention, and both were arrested, charged with disorderly conduct and hauled to the Atlanta City Jail.
The charges were dropped the following day after the couple refused to testify against one other.
