For the fifth season of Showtime’s Californication, the hit comedy will get a taste of Shaolin. Wu-Tang Clan’s leader and producer, RZA (né Robert Fitzgerald Diggs), will join the cast in a major recurring role.

The hip hop luminary and actor will play a “slightly dangerous” rap mogul who Hank (David Duchovny’s character) considers writing a film for. The tentative name for RZA’s character is Apocalypse.

The Wu don’s acting resumé includes Ghost Dog, Coffee and Cigarettes, Repo Men and American Gangster.

Season five is scheduled to begin filming this month.
