After questioning President Obama’s citizenship and his qualifications for his Ivy League degrees (and then claiming that he has a great relationship with “the Blacks”), a number of people have accused the real estate mogul-turned-television executive of harboring prejudices.

Trump blasted the criticism in a recent interview with CNN’s Don Lemon.  When asked about the racist charges and his use of the term “the Blacks,” Trump said, “I am a wonderful person as far as you would be concerned as to race. And I think everybody that knows me knows that."

Among those that know him, Trump specifically highlighted his black friends – saying they “would laugh” at the insinuation that he’s racist.

Trump claims, “I have many, many black friends who said to me, ‘absolutely not a problem.’ … The fact is, I wanna focus on jobs, the economy … that nations are laughing at us and taking our money and taking our jobs and ripping us off.”
