Tyler Perry Targeted In "South Park" Episode

"South Park" joins "The Boondocks" in mocking Madea.

With a new year comes another new animated series taking jabs at Tyler Perry.  Last year, the successful multi-hyphenated entertainer reportedly was angered by the way the Cartoon Network, Aaron McGruder-created series The Boondocks poked fun at him (especially given his working relationship with sister station TBS).

Now, the Atlanta-based mogul is on the receiving end of another cartoon roast courtesy of Comedy Central’s South Park.  In the May 4th episode entitled “Funnybot,” Tyler Perry appeared throughout the episode in full Madea attire as South Park Elementary presented him with the “Kathy Griffin Award.”

The award is presented to the person who is most likely to actually show up to get the award.  Perry was further mocked when the show’s sole black character, Token Black, snickered and tossed Perry money for every “hallelujer” he uttered.
