F. Gary Gray Set for The Last Days of American Crime

The “Friday” director to erase criminal minds in next film.

America without bad guys? Director F. Gary Gray is set to helm The Last Days of American Crime based on a title from Barry Levine’s Radical Publishing.

Starring Sam Worthington, the futuristic film is about how America responds to a second major terrorism attack by developing technology that eliminates the impulse to commit crimes of any kind. Worthington leads a heist team that plans to pull off a final job five days before the signal rubs out the criminal instinct. According to Deadline.com, the picture will shoot in September.

Gray most recently helmed Law Abiding Citizen and previously directed the crime action dramas The Italian Job and The Negotiator.
