The actress says she raps at home with her newborn son.
Another unlikely closet rap fan has revealed themselves. In an interview with The Sun, Academy Award winning actress Penelope Cruz revealed her affinity for rap and her own habit of rapping in her down time. She explained that she has a lot of time to both sing and rap with her newborn son, Leo.
"I'm one of those people who do it by themselves," she said. "I'm not embarrassed to say it. I like to rap but only know one song. The Eminem one, 'Two trailer park girls go round the outside, round the outside.' " Cruz is referring to the Eminem track “Without Me,” the lead single from the rapper’s 2002 release, The Eminem Show. The Spanish actress is not the first to reveal a love of hip hop in recent months.
Another Oscar winning actress, Gwenyth Paltrow discussed her love of rap, particularly the music of her friend Jay-Z in addition to '90s rap. During an appearance on the U.K.’s Graham Norton Show on BBC One, she rapped along to a track from N.W.A.’s Straight Outta Compton album. Indeed, the actress recited Ice Cube’s opening verse from “Gangsta Gangsta.”
No word on when Penelope will be taking her private raps public.
