Trailer for Don Cheadle's "The Guard"
Don Cheadle plays FBI agent in new comedy set in Ireland.
The first trailer for Don Cheadle’s black comedy The Guard has been released. The film was purchased by Sony Pictures Classics at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. The Guard, set in Galway, Ireland, is about a local police detective who teams up with an FBI agent to solve a string of murders.
Shadow and Act confirms that the buddy-cop film features Cheadle as the “sidekick fish-out-of-water FBI agent.” Cheadle is on the hunt for members of an international drug ring whose key members have taken up residence in the small Irish town. The film was directed by John Michael McDonagh in his feature film debut. As of now the film still has no release date.
