Snoop Dogg Featured on "4th and Forever"

The rapper plays part in new Current TV reality series about high school football team.

Footage from the new Current TV docu-series 4th and Forever, featuring Snoop Dogg, has surfaced. The nine-episode series chronicles the 2010 season of the Long Beach Polytechnic High School football team, the Jackrabbits. Long Beach Poly has sent more players to the NFL than any other high school in the nation. The series will show why Poly means much more to its students, players and community than simply football. In an area plagued by poverty, drugs and gangs, the team represents a way out for many of the area residents.

In the clip, Snoop speaks with Poly coach Keith Thompson on the importance of the high school. He credits Poly with being behind his decision to start his own celebrated little league football team. Snoop praises the high school as home to “scholars and champions.”
