Muhammad Ali’s new granddaughter is featured in magazine with mom
Beautiful boxing champ and mother of two Laila Ali gave birth to her daughter April 4th and graces the pages of this week’s People magazine with her new baby girl. Although Ali and her husband Curtis Conway, who retired from the NFL as San Francisco 49ers’ wide-receiver, wanted a baby boy for their two-year-old son CJ, they are obviously very happy with their gift of life. Named Sydney J., fans of the couple can see Ali holding their new joy for the celebrity magazine as she debuts the baby to the world.
Speaking to People, the heavy-hitting mom confesses, “My favorite time is the evening when CJ goes to sleep and I have her in the room and it’s quiet. We have our quiet moment together.” While the boxer may be tough professionally, she says she looks forward to teaching her daughter how to be a strong, yet confident lady.
Earlier this week, the Dancing With the Stars alum blogged she’s lost three pounds and plans to continue to shed the weight by working out 4-5 days a week and modifying her nutritional diet. As an athlete and model, 33-year-old is no stranger to fitness. Can’t wait to see the results.
