Beyoncé is bent on being the girl who runs the world and she very well could make that a reality. Her performances are must-see. She produces number-one hits and copy-cat dance music videos like one one else. She even worked on her Paul Robeson, proving she can hang in a film with Hollywood heavyweights like Jamie Foxx and Idris Elba. This is a true Renaissance woman.

Like her fans, the film Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has taken note and recently invited the singer/dancer to join the team of artists and critics who get to vote on Oscar-nominated films, Reuters reports. The Houston, Texas, native is one of 178 celebrities who were invited to join this prestigious voting crew. Other invited stars are The Hangover superstar Bradley Cooper, Katy Perry’s husband, Russell Brand, and Facebook’s Jesse Eisenberg.

Beyoncé’s fourth solo album, 4, is scheduled to drop next week June 28. As she gears up for the release, she’s giving away 15 tickets on her website to see her live, VIP-style, as she performs on Good Morning America July 1 for their concert series.
