Reports say that Mimi’s waiting for the right photographer to take “tasteful” photos of the newborns.
Mariah Carey took plenty of pregnant pictures while she was expecting—from magazine spreads to Twitter pictures on the fly—but it’s been almost two months since she gave birth to daughter Monroe and son Moroccan and pictures of the twins haven’t seen the (public) light of day.
Rumor has it that Mimi and her husband, Nick Cannon, are currently shopping pictures of the twins and have been receiving bids from a number of magazines, including OK! and People. The images are expected to bring in about $200,000—a crazy amount for the average baby’s picture, but a far cry from the $14 million that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie brought in for images of their kids.
While some chatter suggests that the Cannons are waiting for a better offer, Nick expressed on his 92.3 Now radio show that it felt strange to be selling pictures of his kids. A source tells Page Six, "Mariah and Nick are more concerned with doing the right thing than going to the highest bidder. They're talking to a number of publications about doing it in the best and most tasteful way.”
A representative for Mimi added , "She is still deciding when and if she's going to [arrange a photo shoot]. She is enjoying being a mom, and there's no rush. It's not about the money."
