Singer Alicia Keys is set to help produce the upcoming Broadway play "Stick Fly," a contemporary comedy of manners revolving around an affluent black family. The show, created by Boston University playwriting professor Lydia R. Diamond, has been performed in Boston, Chicago and Washington, D.C. New York City performances will take place at the Lyceum Theater on 45th Street beginning November 18. It will officially open December 8.

Keys will be following Jay-Z, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith into the Broadway producing world. In 2009, the trio brought the musical "Fela!" to the stage.
