Bill Maher to Kim K.: "Getting Black Men Off" Is "Proud Kardashian Tradition"
Bill Maher, host of HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher, has never been known to mince words, and he made no exceptions last night for Kim Kardashian.
The starlet made waves on Tuesday when she, like many other celebrities, tweeted her dismay about the not guilty verdict in the trial of Casey Anthony, the Florida woman accused of murdering her own two-year-old daughter. Following the verdict, Kardashian posted the following message on her Twitter page: "WHAT!!!!???!!!! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!!! I am speechless!!!"
On last night's Real Time, Maher had pointed words in response to Kardashian's tweet. "If your dad was on O.J.'s legal dream team, you can't tweet your disappointment over the Casey Anthony verdict," he said. Maher was referring, of course, to Robert Kardashian, who was one of the lawyers who successfully defended O.J. Simpson during his infamous 1995 murder trial. Like Simpson, Anthony is widely viewed in the media and the public as guilty, despite the verdict.
But Maher didn't stop there: "And remember, your father started a proud Kardashian tradition: getting black men off."
Zing.
Though Kardashian has yet to respond to Maher's comments specifically, she did post the following message to her Twitter page earlier this week: "Reading the comments here & it's nuts people think just bc I was close to the OJ trial I can't have my own opinion on the Casey Anthony case?"
Ironically, like Kardashian, Maher is also known to date Black women, including Karrine "Superhead" Steffans.
