R&B singer Monica married Los Angeles Lakers player Michael Shannon for the second time today, People reports. The couple, who already quietly tied the knot last November at their Los Angeles home, went all out for their second wedding. The half-hour ceremony at a historic downtown LA church was followed by a lavish reception attended by the who's who of the NBA: guests included Brown's teammates Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher, along with New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony and his wife LaLa Vasquez. Monica's two kids, Rodney Jr. and Romelo, and Brown's son arrived at the ceremony by horse and carriage.
The new-newlyweds met last summer when Brown appeared in Monica's video "Love All Over Me," and he wasted no time putting a ring on it just a few months later, in October. Congratulations (again!) to the happy couple.
